About Rachel’s Blog

Rachel and her chess set

I am an active family historian and a post-operative MtF transsexual. I am also a British 56% First Nations 14%  Iberian peninsula 10% French 7%  Irish 4% (Thanks Ancestry.ca)  gal adopted and raised by some lovely Canadian folks of Welsh and English extraction. I authored WarBirds: The Story so far…” I am interested in Young Adult fiction and admire the writings of Holly Black, Libba Bray, and Melissa Marr among others. My WordPress blog is a mishmash of various topics provided as a means to hone my rusty writing skills.

Now some 15 blog posts in, I appear to write mostly about Transgender issues and Christianity. However, I usually come up ENTJ on Myers-Briggs profiles and as such have a wide range of interests. Women in chess, comic books, cosmology, genealogy, and general pop culture also rate high. Please follow me on Twitter as well: http://twitter.com/#!/CanadaGirl58 Send me a hello or otherwise follow the blog. I don’t post everyday but tend to write as events warrant.

You can find me on chess.com playing under the name Rachel58

Hello Rachel, your story of Lorne Greene is impressive and very fascinating. As you mentioned, he performed with my father Donn in the late 50’s of which I’d like to share additional details with you. I welcome you to contact me.
